Christ Church is a vibrant, inclusive, and growing urban parish rooted in community, faith and liturgy. We are seeking a full-time lay pastoral associate to join our clergy and lay leadership team. This role calls for a individual with a deep Christian faith, energy, creativity, and a pastoral heart.  Christ Church is a parish at a crossroads.  Located in the heart of the heart Wîhkwêntôwin, one of the fastest growing neighbourhoods in one of Canada's fastest growing cities, Christ Church is a growing parish in the midst of making the transition from a pastoral sized congregation to a larger faith community known in the literature as a program sized church.  We are growing, and we are looking for someone excited to be part of this transition and eager to serve in a community committed to faith, justice, welcome, and spiritual transformation.

The lay pastoral associate will be a key partner in the spiritual and organizational life of the parish. Responsibilities include offering leadership in our Sunday services, pastoral care and community leadership, developing adult faith formation opportunities, supporting outreach and social justice initiatives, and coordinating volunteer engagement across ministries. The role also involves participation in the wider governance and planning of parish life.

This position requires a collaborative and compassionate person with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will bring experience in diverse ministry contexts, a passion for urban engagement, and a deep love of people and Church. We are especially seeking someone who brings enthusiasm and vision to this new chapter in the life of our parish.

Qualifications include: post-secondary education (some Biblical or Theological training is a strong asset), demonstrated leadership in formation and outreach, experience with or passionate about working in team ministry, and a heart for inclusive, justice-rooted ministry. Experience in church or para-church ministries is an asset. We can assist with locating affordable housing as well as assisting with moving expenses.  We will offer a competitive salary in an affordable city.

The role also involves regular liturgical and sacramental leadership, and participation in the wider governance and planning of parish life.

This position requires a collaborative and compassionate person with strong communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will bring experience in diverse ministry contexts, a passion for urban engagement, and a deep love of people and of liturgy. We are especially seeking someone who brings enthusiasm and vision to this new chapter in the life of our parish.

Qualifications include: ordination in the Anglican Church of Canada (or a Province in full communion), demonstrated leadership in formation and outreach, experience with or passionate about working in team ministry, and a heart for inclusive, justice-rooted ministry. Our parish is fully welcoming and affirming of LGBTQ2S+ people, and applicants must be as well. We can assist with locating affordable housing. While applications are open to all who are qualified, the parish is only able to pay moving costs within Canada.  We will offer a competitive salary in an affordable city.  We would welcome newly ordained priests who have a demonstrated capacity for leadership.
