Make it stand out.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
“Let everyone give joyfully according to the purposes in their heart.
God makes grace to abound, so that we may abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
Giving to our church community is a response to the mission of God. It is a key part of how we put into action what God desires for the life of our community, our neighbours, and the world. When we give to our church community, this generosity is a direct reflection of thanksgiving for God’s own generosity in our lives. It is also part of how we make a difference by supporting the mission of Christ Church, its ministry work, and the work of the Diocese of Edmonton.
How and when can I give financially?
You can give cash or cheque offerings during services, by placing them in the collection plate. You can also set up regular Electronic Fund Transfers to automatically send money from your bank to the church account. You can register by emailing the office.
How will my donation be used?
All of our programs are supported by gifts from the congregation. Donations also fund salaries of the priest and other staff members, the upkeep of our buildings and grounds, and the continued support of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton. We rely solely on the donations of the parish and do not receive funding from other sources. Your monthly gifts sustain your church and help us to support the growth and ministry of the parish.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $20 that include a name and address.
For more information about how or why to give, please email the office.

Stewardship Letter from the Rector
Dear Friends,
For many years you have been part of Christ Church—serving in ministries, praying in this place, and faithfully supporting our parish. Thank you for the financial, spiritual, and practical gifts you bring. Your generosity makes possible:
· Every Sunday service and special celebration.
· Every home communion and hospital visit.
· Every youth group event, children’s program and adult Christian education.
· Twenty-five years of community dinners.
· Music on the lawn and a welcoming garden for our neighbours.
Our parish is growing: more children on the chancel steps, a gaggle of teens running around on a Friday night, an outstanding choir, newcomers finding a spiritual home, expanded small groups, stronger outreach to neighbours, and a vibrant community for young adults. Thanks be to God.
Growth is a gift—and a responsibility. To care well for a larger congregation, we need to expand our leadership and sustain a stronger infrastructure. That is why we are launching Sustaining Our Growth Together, a focused effort to increase our overall operating budget by 18% for 2026 so that we can sustain our growth and the ministry that comes with it. Christ Church relies entirely on the generosity of parishioners. Your givings are the sole source of funds for salaries, programming costs, and building maintenance. Increasing our operating budget will be achieved through increased contributions from existing donors, as well as by increasing the number of church members who regularly support the work of the church.
Would you prayerfully consider helping to “sustain our growth” by increasing your offering by 10–20%? Some will do more, some less; what matters is that we all participate. If you’re already giving sacrificially, thank you. If your capacity is constrained, your presence and prayers are vital. If you have margin to stretch, your generosity will make a decisive difference now.
Included in this package you will find a confidential response card prepared by our treasurer. Please complete the form and place it on the offering plate at an upcoming Sunday service. Or, you can email or mail your response to the church office.
I would like to end where I began: thank you for being here. You are an integral part of our community. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for consideration of this request. Together we can sustain this good growth and make room for others to encounter the love of Christ in this place.
In Christ,
Rev. Sue+
