Children belong at Christ Church, and we rejoice in their presence!

Our goals for the Sunday School are:

• to help our children and young people become familiar with stories from the Bible at their own level of understanding,
• to help our children and young people become familiar with and comfortable in our Sunday worship services,
• to help our children and young people recognize their own sense of awe and wonder of God,
• to create a welcoming, affirmative, fun environment for every participant in the Sunday School,
• to communicate about Sunday School activities with the parents and the rest of the parish, and
• to help us all come to know that “God loves all of us all the time.”

One of the major challenges of our ministry is that we only have about 40 minutes per week with the children and many of the children are not able to attend church every week.  At Christ Church we believe that the faith development of our children and young people is a partnership between families and the parish. The Sunday School teachers sincerely appreciate your support in bringing your children regularly, encouraging them and helping us with special activities.

We have a dedicated staff of volunteer teachers, all of whom have met the security requirements of our diocese.  These include regular police and child welfare clearances.
